Shining Earth® Beyond Carbon Neutral Standard

‘Beyond Carbon Neutral’ is the Shining Earth^® seal of approval awarded to products, services, events, departments or whole organisations that:

• Measure their emissions;

• Commit to make tangible reductions to their environmental impact; and
•  
• Offset over 150% of the residual CO₂eq emissions.  The >150% offset gives confidence that any uncertainties inherent in the calculations are covered and that substantially more that 100% of the emissions will be accounted for.

Going ‘Beyond Carbon Neutral’ shows your company’s commitment to, not only neutralise the impact from some of its business activities, but to make a positive contribution to the environment by both reducing operational emissions (in turn saving money) and offsetting more than 150% of the residual.  This is a powerful message to the market - demonstrating good corporate responsibility practices, providing distinctive PR material and could be the unique selling point that secures new business.
