On 22nd May, Delta-Simons MD Gareth Pickles, colleague Dave Skevington and Paul Ellison from the Bradford and Bingley Group completed the Snowdon 500 Challenge in aid of prostate cancer research, between them raising a spectacular £2000 for the charity.

The Snowdon 500 challenge takes place every year and is an opportunity for walkers and trekkers to raise money for the research and treatment of prostate cancer, which affects many thousands of men and their families every year.

Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales, 1085m or 3,560 ft high, and is one of the most beautiful mountains in the world, very popular for walkers and climbers.

Gareth commented after the event ‘the climb was hard work but the weather and scenery were gorgeous so we had a thoroughly enjoyable day on the mountain.  We’re all extremely grateful for the generous donations from colleagues, suppliers, customers and friends which helped us raise such a substantial amount for this worthy charity, we hope to do the same again next year.’
